Training in the use, maintenance and joy of the Austrian Scythe

Nicole gets quite a number of enquiries about her courses that are very similar. Hopefully these FAQs will help you with any questions you may have.

There are a number of outlets selling Austrian scythes. You may wish to look at Scythe Cymru and The Scythe Shop.

Nicole has a limited number of scythes available for hire, but this must be booked at the same as you book your course in order that Nicole can make sure she can provide the scythe you need. Contact her before booking if you have any queries, in particular about your height, if you think you’re borderline between two choices.

Payment can be made by cheque or BACS. Details will be sent to you when you contact Nicole to  book your place.

Payment needs to be made at the time of booking. This secures your place. Quite often courses are fully booked with others missing the opportunity. It’s fairer to ask people to commit to the course by paying at the time of booking.

Please let Nicole know, as soon as possible, if you need to cancel. If your place can be filled then your course fee will be refunded. Extenuating circumstances will be considered. You will appreciate that Joy of Scything is a small business and needs to cover the costs of providing courses.
